As we work our way through the So you really want to learn Latin course, we follow the history of Rome from its foundation by Romulus in 753BC up to the emergence of Augustus as the first Roman Emperor in around 27BC. Indeed, we go back a bit to the voyage of Aeneas, the Trojan prince who escaped from the fall of Troy and set out to found a ‘new Rome’ in Italy. So lots of fun and games along the way.
